Hi, Dolphin Parents and Children!
I created this little page because some of you have asked me to show you what I was up to when I left town last month.
Over the past 9 months I have been pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Film and Video Game scoring with the Film Scoring Academy of Europe’s online program. Our final project was to write and record music for a 52-piece orchestra, which is a dream come true for me. Juniper was generous enough to allow me to make the trip. During the trip I met many of the faculty of the institute, hobnobbed with my classmates, and supervised a recording session of my piece in the studios of Bulgaria National Radio. I even got to conduct!
Unfortunately the official video for the session isn’t available yet, so I thought I’d share with you a couple of videos of me conducting the orchestra. The videos were taken by two of my classmates who were watching from the studio balcony.
Below you will find a clip of the scene that I scored. It’s from a short film called “The Foundling”
Directed by Barney Cokeliss. A Parallel Lines Film in association with Ridley Scott Productions. All Rights Reserved.
Me with some of my classmates and their sweethearts.
In the control room with some classmates and the production crew.
I just wanted also to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience and flexibility in allowing me the opportunity to make the trip.
That’s all for now. Have a lovely weekend.
Truly,
Michael
