Success is a modern-day revenge comedy that takes sibling rivalry to the next level. When Nicholas, a vain social climber, convinces his struggling artist brother Gregory to fake his own death—under the twisted logic that the best artists only get famous posthumously—Gregory reluctantly agrees. Nicholas goes all out, staging an over-the-top suicide and shipping Gregory off to Portland, Oregon, while he stays in New York to start cashing in on Gregory's “genius.” Soon enough, Gregory’s posthumous paintings are selling like hotcakes, and Nicholas is living large. But with Gregory out of sight, Nicholas starts keeping all the profits for himself. Of course, things start to get messy when Nicholas, drunk on success and short on new material, decides to create more “Gregory originals” himself. After all, who’s going to notice? But Gregory isn’t as dead as everyone thinks, and now he’s back in New York with a plan of his own. Let’s just say the paint is about to hit the fan!
